Tell us about yourself Started doing automotive upholstery when I was 18 they used to call us trimmers. I’m 65 until November 2023. I really didn’t like it at first very boring work we did bus seats for school buses and theater seats. I was fortunate that my brother was the manager of the shop and I was able to learn a little bit of everything very quickly. He went on vacation after I was there only three months and I ran the shop with three other employees.
Obviously I stayed with It worked at numerous places that always wanted to take shortcuts and do production work. I eventually started my own business in the early 80s. very happy with my clientele and doing original complete interiors along with custom work.
